I'm The Philadelphia Inquirer's foreign correspondent at large. I was formerly the newspaper's correspondent in in New York City and South Africa. Now I'm based in the States, where I specialize in foreign stories with a Philadelphia connection. I've worked at the Inquirer since 1982.
